About

I’m a UK-based freelance writer specialising in film, music, books, history and occasionally comics and videogames. These days I mostly write words for Channel 4 but I’m also a contributor to Empire and Rue Morgue and my work has been published by The Guardian, The TelegraphFangoria, Wireframe, All About History, Birth.Movies.Death, Shock Till You Drop, Film3Sixty (given away with The Guardian and The Evening Standard), SFX, Retro Gamer, Games™, DeathRay, TV & Satellite Week, Den of Geek, Spectacular Optical, MSN, Yahoo, Impact, Carpe Nocturne, and Waterstones’ Books Quarterly. The majority of my work is for print media, but I’ve set up this blog to share links to my random online articles. A full list of the books I’ve written or contributed to is below.
