September, 2011. Frustratingly, you’ll sometimes trek somewhere for a set visit, only for the film to barely get a release, making your coverage unuseable. That was the case with Carl Tibbetts’ Retreat, for which I went and stayed in North Wales, hung out and watched filming, and interviewed Tibbetts and his cast: Cillian Murphy, Jamie Bell and Thandie Newton. Rather than let the coverage go to waste, we put the transcripts online when the film eventually surfaced on DVD. It deserved to be seen more widely (the film, not my stuff… although actually..).
